Civil servants were offered “psychological support” after Dominic Raab’s first term as justice secretary, amid concern in the department over his behavior towards staff.
Help was offered to officials through the human resources department shortly after Liz Truss removed Raab from the government in September. The offer was made to those believed to have been affected by Raab’s alleged approach to running the department, the sources said.
It comes after it was reported yesterday that some 15 members of his private office staff were offered “a reprieve or a route out” of the department on raab’s return last month. Rishi Sunak had also appointed him as deputy prime minister.
The Guardian claimed they were taken to a room where department officials acknowledged they may be anxious.
