The new framework includes 10 key initiatives to be launched over the next five years
Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has launched a comprehensive AED 105 million (USD 28.58 million) framework to support the mental wellbeing of the Dubai community. This initiative aligns with Dubai Social Agenda 33’s goal of making Dubai the best destination in the world to live, work and visit.
His Excellency Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director-General of DHA, said that this framework is guided by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision to strengthen Dubai’s status as a leading global city. The Mental Wealth Framework, endorsed by Sheikh Hamdan, presents a comprehensive set of initiatives to enhance Dubai’s reputation as a preferred destination for quality of life.

Prioritize mental well-being
Al Ketbi further highlighted that mental wellbeing is an integral part of community health and a key strategic objective for major cities around the world. Achieving this requires scientific and systematic interventions to manage the demands and pressures of daily life.
Designing a customized approach
Furthermore, the framework is designed to enhance Dubai’s unique lifestyle proposition and support the diverse and harmonious nature of its community. It draws on the latest best practices in promoting mental wellbeing and employs innovative solutions to achieve the highest levels of overall wellbeing, benchmarking it against six global best models.
Alignment with Dubai’s Social Agenda
Furthermore, the initiative supports Dubai’s Social Agenda 33 objectives to establish an effective social system and develop a highly efficient health system that promotes healthy lifestyles and quality, preventive, physical and mental health services.
Key objectives
The framework includes ten initiatives to be implemented over a five-year period. In addition, strategic objectives include the development of a comprehensive model of care for mental wellbeing services, early detection and intervention, and the provision of high-quality care, support and advice.
Promoting research and innovation
Other objectives include promoting research and innovation to ensure continuous measurement and achievement of psychological and community stability, with a focus on priority segments such as the elderly, children, people with determination and those with chronic diseases.
