Thiruvananthapuram: electronic health system It is now operational in 653 health institutions across the state, Health Minister Veena George said on Wednesday. Of these, 428 hospitals implemented the e-health system during the tenure of the current government, he added.

The system was implemented in 17 wings of different medical college hospitals, 22 general and district hospitals, 26 taluk hospitals, 36 community health centres, 487 family health centres, 50 urban family health centres, 10 specialty hospitals, two public health laboratories and three others. health centers.

Setting up of online appointment facilities through e-health system is in its final stages in 80 taluk, district and general hospitals. The objective is to implement the e-health system in all hospitals, the minister stated.

So far, more than 1.93 million people have registered for a permanent UHID through e-health, George said. The main characteristic of e-health is the availability of OP entries online and paperless hospital services. Patients can obtain OP tickets in advance without waiting in line, a unique aspect of this system. In addition, there is an advance registration system for follow-up visits, which significantly reduces waiting times.
