E-Sushrut HMIS: UP govt launches E-Sushrut Hospital Management Info System in medical colleges, Health News, ET HealthWorld


Lucknow: Deputy Prime Minister of Uttar Pradesh Brijesh Pathak and Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh launched the E-Sushrut Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) across 22 state medical colleges on Monday, according to an official statement.

The initiative was launched by the state department of medical education in collaboration with the Center for the Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC). The transfer of the Memorandum of Agreement was made through e-Sushrut HMIS software, he added.

According to the press release, the facilities such as patient registration, admission, discharge, ambulance, food, medicine, details and availability of doctors will be online through E-Sushrut HMIS software. He added that there will be transparency in all work related to the treatment of patients.

The statement highlighted some of the facilities that will be availed by patients through the E-Sushrut HMIS software.
Firstly, patients will be able to download the E-Sushrut HMIS software from the Playstore on their Android phone. Second, by registering through the software, patients will save themselves the hassle at the counter.

Third, the software will also indicate which doctors will be available at the hospital on which day. The press release added that the Hospital Management Information System is organized in Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Agra, Meerut, KGMU Lucknow, UPUMS Saifai, GIMS Greater Noida, RML Lucknow, SGPGI Lucknowmirzapur.
