eSanjeevani now life-saving app for common man: PM – ET HealthWorld


NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi on Sunday it was called the e-Sanjeevani app, a free telemedicine service run by the Center, a ‘life-saving app’ for the common man.

E-Sanjeevani consists of two verticals serving patients in all states and UTs successfully making their presence felt in the innermost regions of the nation.

the first vertical eSanjeevani AB-HWC (Ayushman Bharat – Health and Wellness Centre) strives to bridge the rural-urban digital health gap by providing assisted teleconsultations and ensuring that Ayushman Bharat Scheme beneficiaries can avail the benefits to which they are entitled.

According to the health ministry, eSanjeevaniOPD is the latest vertical serving citizens in both rural and urban areas. Take advantage of technology through smartphones, tablets and laptops that allow access to medical consultations from the patient’s residence, regardless of their location.

In his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ speech, mode interacted with a Sikkim-based doctor who has consulted over 500 patients in the hilly states using the eSanjeevani app and a patient from UP’s Chandauli who used the teleconsultation service using the app.

Speaking about the power of India’s digital revolution, Modi gave the example of UPI (Unified Payments Interface). “Many countries are attracted to it. Just a few days ago, the UPI-Pay Now Link between India and Singapore was launched. Now, people in Singapore and India are transferring money from their phones the same way they do within their respective countries,” he said.
