The two will join forces for a year-long initiative, aiming to raise awareness of mental health and emotional issues in the Highlands.

They will also tell people about the support available from Mikeysline, with the reminder that “it’s okay not to be okay”.

To kick-start the initiative, Norscot team members are participating in the Million Steps for Mikeysline effort.

Callum Grant, Managing Director of Norscot, said: “We are delighted to be working with Mikeysline as our charity partner for this year.

“Mikeysline provides much-needed support to people experiencing mental health challenges throughout the region and we have some initiatives planned for the next 12 months.”

Emily Stokes, CEO of Mikeysline, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working in partnership with Norscot.

“Your support will help us continue to support adults and youth experiencing emotional distress or struggling with their mental health and will help us raise awareness of our services in Highland and Moray.

“This good news has come at a crucial time when many people are struggling and our services are needed more than ever, for which we are very grateful to Norscot.”

Mikeysline offers text-based support via SMS, webchat and social media, personal and walk-in appointments on their Hives, and additional youth support through their youth service.

It recently opened a new center at the Highland Yoga Collective in Nairn, bringing the total number of extension centers it operates in the Highlands to four.

It is open on Saturdays from 6 to 10 pm.
