Fitness Class On Nepal’s Mera Peak Smashes World Record, Internet Praises “Amazing Achievement”

A team of climbers who traveled to Nepal to participate in a fitness class at 6,000 meters has broken a world record.

Tim Megginson of Body Shape Fitness in the UK attempted to break a Guinness World Record of 5,714 meters by completing a 30-minute running session, which included push-ups and planks at Mera Peak in Nepal. According to a Facebook post, the group, after nine days of climbing, broke this milestone by participating in a session at 6,036 meters on October 9.

“6476m Summit + 2 New Guinness World Records…World’s Highest Fitness Session! World’s Highest 1 Hour Chess Game!” Megginson wrote on Facebook.

according to ely standard, Mr. Megginson was aiming to surpass the previous mark of 18,746.72 feet (5,714 meters), which was set on Tanzania’s Mount Kilimanjaro in 2021 by participants in the world’s highest OCR and altitude OCR. This record was achieved by 34 participants in total.

Megginson, on the other hand, broke the record with another eight. Speaking to the outlet, he said that now he is considering even more complex challenges. “I would love to explore more extreme altitudes to see how far my skill can take me,” she said.

Meanwhile, on Facebook, Megginson’s post garnered nearly 400 likes and several comments. Netizens congratulated the team for breaking the world record.

“Great job mate, tremendous effort, you must be super proud,” one user wrote. “Wow, amazing, great job everyone, you smashed it! What an amazing achievement. I’m sure the photos don’t do it justice,” added another.
