GMCH students get int’l honour for innovative device – ET HealthWorld


Chandigarh: GMCH-32 students Shivani Arjun, Hargunbir Singh And Meera MattaDr. Under the guidance of Nishit Sawal, DM, Neurology, AIIMS, Consultant Neurologist has been awarded the best poster in its series for an innovative device designed for neurological disorders, for which no treatment is currently available. The award was recently presented at the prestigious World Congress on Parkinson’s Disease and Related Disorders in Prague, Czech Republic.

His paper, entitled “Pulsating Headband Using a Novel Treatment for Eyelid Opening – A Single-Center Pilot Study,” focuses on the novel treatment for eyelid opening apraxia, a rare disorder in which patients have their eyes opened. The research was much appreciated.

They received a blue ribbon featuring the best poster of the conference in its series among 600 other delegates from around the world.
