panaji: In another shocking incident, a fitness trainer allegedly kidnapped and strangled a teacher to death. After the alleged murder, the coach reportedly drove with the body and dumped it inside a jungle.
The police suspect that it is a case of unrequited love and have identified the accused as Gaurav Bidre (36). Meanwhile, the victim has been identified as Gauri Achari (35), the indian express informed.
Police said Bidre and Achari taught at government universities, Achari hired him as a personal fitness trainer, and they knew each other closely. Although they became friends, police said Achari told Bidre last month that she no longer wanted to be in contact with him.

On June 23, Bidre approached Achari while he was parking his car near his residence in Corlim. She then strangled Achari inside the car. Police reported that after transporting Achari’s body to her car and backing it out of her neighborhood, he drove approximately 2 kilometers from her home and dumped her body in a forest near the Kadamba turnoff. the indian express informed.
The victim’s mother reported her daughter’s abduction to police when she failed to show up at her home on Thursday. The police claim that during interrogation, Ella Bidre admitted to murdering Achari.
Bidre is charged with murder and destruction of evidence.
According to Police Inspector Dinesh Gadekar from the Old Goa Police Station, Bidre was brought before a magistrate on Saturday and spent 10 days in police custody. He further mentioned that an autopsy had been performed and that Achari’s body had been sent to her family for last rites.
