Got7’s Jackson Wang discusses mental health struggles but not the boyband’s rumoured comeback

Jackson Wang of K-pop boy band Got7 recently opened up about his mental health struggles and how he has dealt with the challenges he faces in the industry.

TThe 28-year-old heartthrob sat down with Entertainment Tonight on April 20 (Wednesday) to talk about his new single Blow.

Having performed at Coachella in California last weekend, the singer said the last eight years have felt like a “loop” for him. “I have been living the business life. I’ve been living by a schedule, show after show,” he said.

“And that’s why, after eight (or) nine years of it, I got to a point where I lost it mentally. I was lost, I didn’t know what to do.”

Surrounding himself with the “positive energy of friends” gave the Hong Kong-born singer a much-needed boost to get through tough times.

“They forced me, they sat me down and they talked to me, and it’s the first time in my life that I feel that connection,” he said.
