Bangalore, Sep 14, 2022: In a first-of-its-kind initiative in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) Sector, GPS Renewables, a Bangalore-based biofuel technology and EPC company, has partnered with YourDOST to promote employee mental wellness and prioritize holistic health. Through this partnership with YourDOST, GPS Renewables will undertake a series of mental wellness initiatives including the following
- Online sessions to highlight the importance of mHSE (mental and physical health, safety and environment): YourDOST will hold regular sessions to raise staff awareness of how mental well-being plays an important role in an individual’s overall health.
- Awareness programs at project sites: Sessions will be held with contract workers and other field staff on the importance of seeking help and encouraging them to have open conversations about their mental health.

- Employee check-ins: Employee engagement and regular check-ins to ensure their emotional well-being in GPS
- Monthly Activities: YourDOST will host monthly sessions that will revolve around raising awareness of managing work-related stress and how it can affect mental and physical well-being.
Commenting on the initiative, Rukmani Kapoor, GPS Renewables’ chief of staff, said: “At GPS Renewables, we don’t just focus on building a great business. We want to focus on building lives with the right mindset. We believe that conversations about mental health shouldn’t just be limited to people who work at tech companies or those who spend long hours in front of their laptops. In a typical EPC company today, the culture is typically characterized by a complete focus on available work only, without the necessary employee engagement or initiatives that focus on an employee’s emotional health. This initiative is a step toward changing that narrative. Our goal is to go beyond simply ensuring HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) and focus on mHSE (Mental and Physical Health, Safety and Environment).” Commenting on the initiative, Ms. Richa Singh, CEO and co-founder of YourDOST, said, “We are delighted to be working with GPS Renewables and supporting them in their efforts to promote mental wellness in the workplace. At YourDOST, we believe that mental health has a direct impact on an individual’s professional, personal, and financial domain. It’s important to take active steps to balance all four quadrants of life: personal life, professional life, financial independence, and social life. We look forward to many more companies like GPS coming forward to actively promote mental wellness in sectors beyond technology.”
