Radhika says that the role she chooses leaves her with an “emotional hangover”, which she has now learned to deal with over time. “I see these roles as gifts. They are outlets to cry or feel things for which one sometimes does not have the time or space. Don’t we get too busy on purpose, because the complexities are too scary to deal with? Sure, there is always the possibility of getting carried away or overdoing it on a role,” she said in a live interview on a social media platform.
“But I’ve made sure to stay focused and have learned to draw work boundaries, accept rejection and understand how involved I am. I have managed to master these things in my professional life, hoping to be able to do so in my personal life as well,” Radhika added.
Juggling long-distance marriage
“I’m in a long-distance marriage, but I travel frequently between Pune, Mumbai and London and that’s second to none,” he says.
Radhika, known for playing sensitive characters on screen, says her activism helps her discover and evolve herself through the roles she plays. “I have learned to be more patient, balanced and even emotionally stable in my personal and professional life by being part of those roles. Now they feel natural to me,” she says.
