The court also noted that people with disabilities would be entitled to health insurance coverage and products may need to be designed for them.

Pled guilty to Saurabh Shukla, who suffers from multiple health problems, including quadriplegia due to an injury sustained in 2012.

Shukla, who uses a wheelchair and has limited use of his arms, approached two insurance companies, Max Bupa Health Insurance Company Ltd and Oriental Health Insurance Company Ltd, but was denied any health insurance policy by both.
Oriental Insurance Company Ltd’s lawyer said Shukla’s application for health insurance was denied due to his medical history.
But the court said: “There must be no discrimination, as regards medical care, against people with disabilities. The right to life includes the right to health and even medical care.”
The court also allowed Shukla to once again approach these two companies.
By the next hearing date, a proposal should be ready, your case will be considered while the issue of extending your insurance is reviewed, he said.
