Ely City Hockey Club have raised more than £1,700 for mental health after hosting a charity summer dance on August 27.
Club members, family and friends gathered for the night, dancing the night away to music provided by the popular local band, Park Lane.
Half of the money raised will be used to train mental health first responders within the club, while the remaining half will be donated to the national mental health charity, Mind.
Ely City Hockey Club Chairman Paul Massey said: “The link between regular exercise and good mental health is well known and we at Ely City want to go a step further, ensuring we are doing everything we can to support good mental health. mental health. for our members.

Park Lane played their set for free overnight while the decorations were sponsored by St Mary’s Pharmacy.
Raffle prizes were also provided by various local businesses.
