Horoscopes Monday June 27 – July 3: The New Moon In Cancer Cues A Check-In With Your Mental Health

Art: Kimberlee Kessler

How do you feel like Really feeling? This week’s new moon in Cancer is a deliciously sweet invitation to take control of your mental health. It’s a time to go inward and make self-care your number one priority.

New moons are traditionally a time of low energy, so don’t beat yourself up if you’re feeling a little more low-key than usual. They are also the perfect time to set intentions for the next month, and this is especially juicy for setting a goal and sticking to it.

But before you sign up for a 21-day hot yoga challenge, ask yourself what you need emotionally right now. The sun may be shining, but do you need to say “yes” to everything that invites you? Is your body craving more rest? More nights at home? Less UberEats?

This year has been a lot, and most of us have been getting through it (Bravo! You’re doing great!). This week, let yourself cry, cancel plans, binge what i know about love (again) or spend a criminal amount on new blades. Make a grand gesture… for yourself; think: comfort food, fresh flowers, saltwater baths, romantic comedies, looking at old photos, and checking out your favorite 2014 playlists.

Whatever you land on, make sure it’s something that makes you feel supported, safe, and nurtured. And if it’s trashy TV and mac and cheese you’re craving, just go for it.

ARIES AND ARIES ASCENDANT

If ever there was a time to be the greatest person, this is the week. The new moon has a serious glow behind it to help you turn the page. There is the possibility of starting over, especially when it comes to family (or housemate) tension. So take a deep breath and wipe the slate clean.

The power of words is in the spotlight this week, as the new moon invites you to reflect on how you use your voice. Consider how you can be more compassionate with your words, especially with yourself. Prescribing the classic mantra, ‘Is it true? He is sympathetic? Necessary?’ It will serve you well, this week and for the next month.

Gemini and Gemini Ascendant

There’s a lot of magic behind this week’s new moon to help you plant new seeds for a pay raise…or maybe just to give yourself a big splurge. With Jupiter in the mix, it’s the kind of weather in the sky where new collaborations, especially with friends, could prove particularly profitable.

CANCER AND CANCER ON THE RISE

The skies look especially sweet for Cancer people this week, as a lush new moon sets the stage for a fresh start. With confidence on tap, especially around your work life, there’s never been a better time to take a leap of faith. Throw the thing, call the guy, get a haircut. Things are turning out roses.

LEO AND RISING LEO

This week set yourself a physical challenge to do less. The heavens invite you to try your hand at solitude and give yourself room for some emotional processing. Vulnerability is not easy, but if there is no one to see you cry, did it happen?

VIRGO AND VIRGO RISE

With the new moon falling in your social sector, you are presented with the perfect window to ask for what you need. Whether it’s forgiveness, support, or better boundaries, now is the time to restart your friendships. Remember to say no can also be an act of self-love. It is not your responsibility to save everyone you meet.

LIBRA AND LIBRA RISE

What do you need right now to feel more confident? It’s a question worth considering this week as the heavens push you to make some big decisions and start a new chapter, especially when it comes to his job. What feels safe may not always be easy, but with Jupiter in the mix, he will have the tenacity and vision to make the right move.

SCORPIO AND THE RISE OF SCORPIO

When you close your eyes and think of a more romantic/nurturing/family place, where does your mind take you? If a big trip has been on your mind, this week presents the perfect time to make plans. You may not be able to book a ticket, but setting your sights on the next destination will feel healing itself.

SAGITTARIUS AND SAGITTARIUS RISE

This week you’re invited into uncharted territory… but not the kind you normally enjoy exploring. Getting in touch with your sensitive side is your only mission: bonus points if you get your partner involved. Digging into the corners of your subconscious might pay off, and with your ruling planet in the mix, you have all the courage in the world to be brave.

CAPRICORN AND RISE IN CAPRICORN

This week is the perfect time to review your closest relationships. Whether it’s your best friend, your boyfriend, or your business partner, take a minute to consider what you need to feel more supported. Talking about your feelings isn’t always at the top of your list, but it’s worth the effort to say how you feel.

If surviving the grind of adulthood in 2022 has taken its toll on your health, this week is the ideal window to get back on track. As the new moon sets the stage for a new beginning, setting intentions that more proactively support your well-being will be genuinely satisfying. Good advice: don’t rule out the possibility that you do less can actually do plus for you in the long run.

PISCES AND PISCES RISE

Heaven vibes are extra juicy this week bringing delicious weather to inspire a new chapter of creativity and flow over the next month. Take some quiet time and consider what you need to really focus on play, pleasure, or your art pursuits. Lie down, lock yourself up and lose yourself in the process; this rare mix of motivation and magic is too good to pass up.
