How Connie Ferguson’s fitness journey helped her fans

Connie Ferguson is one of South Africa’s most beloved actresses. As a result, everything he touches often turns to gold.

People are so in love with the actress that they support her in everything she ventures.

For years, one of her many interests has been her health and fitness, and while one might assume her reasons for working out are purely cosmetic, Connie recently reminded people that her exercise routine has a deeper purpose.

“Exercise is good for many different reasons, but the reason I engage in it, even when I don’t feel like it, is because of its effect on my mental health. I haven’t taken antidepressants in years, and even in the most difficult times, I managed not to. Wake up, PRAY, exercise and get on with your day,” Connie shared.

A few years ago he even opened another Instagram account using the handle @iconniecfit which is dedicated exclusively to your fitness content.

Connie, open about her mental health and the tools she uses to manage her challenges, had her followers not only thank her for the reminder, but also share their own experiences.

Actresses Winnie Ntshaba and Brenda Mhlongo were among those inspired by Connie’s post.

“As I get ready to do it,” Winnie wrote, while Brenda added: “Yes sis. Thank you for motivating me to keep going.”

“Thanks Connie, I’m on 20mg of antidepressants and recently started running again, it’s been great. Thank you for this beautiful reminder, Instagram user @andanhadekortje added.

“I worked out every day this week after a long time. Every time I wanted to quit, I thought of you and couldn’t stop doing it. Just because I saw you in my mind saying, ‘DON’T STOP NOW! Keep it up!’” added her personal jeweler @icerock_diamonds.

“I will always be grateful that you help me with this fitness journey mommy,” commented @lizzylethoko.

“Thank you for sharing your testimony. Health. So much stigma around mental health issues. And of course the 4th thing I do is nurture and strengthen my inner man through feeding on his word, having a personal relationship with him,” @thereal_gagaga added.
