Men who smoke have a higher risk of lung cancer
A study published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology found that using vitamins B6 and B12 from individual supplement sources, not multivitamins, increased the risk of lung cancer in men by 30% to 40%. It was also found that taking supplemental vitamins B6, folate and B12 did not increase the risk of lung cancer in women. The study looked at the 10-year average supplement dose and found that men who smoked also had a higher risk.
