“Mental illness is the new pandemic. When covid-19 spread across the world, we saw connection and community erased from our lives overnight as we needed to shelter in place to curb the transmission rates. What we missed when our day-to-day interactions changed so drastically were the long-term impacts of that change. Mental health practices and equitable access to those therapies are a must if we want to make a real change back to kindness, safety, and security. We are so grateful to be in a position to support these musicians and songwriters through the help of amazing partners. Fortunately, with the additional resources, we are able to extend our deadline to save more lives. And, we can’t thank the artists who have stepped up to share their own stories and struggles.” – dr vandana duggal MD, Vice President of TUFF USA

“The issue of mental illness is front and center globally. There is nothing explainable about fame and being in the spotlight. Whether you are an actor, musician or politician, simply being famous offers no protection.” against mental illness. In fact, fame can perhaps do just the opposite, exposing vulnerability as a trap. You can’t let everyone in and you can’t get yourself out. You’re surrounded and yet alone. I have some good friends that they accept me for who I am, not just who I am. What I do. It makes a world of difference. Humanity must approach mental illness with an open heart and mind.” – gary morris
In addition to his endorsement, Gary has provided a generous donation to TUFF to support their expanded efforts.
“I didn’t really understand the challenges that come with mental health issues until Covid hit and I found myself dealing with depression and anxiety. It’s so important that we continue to talk about how stress affects so many of us and how necessary it is to provide everything the world with people to talk to and places to go for help. – Michelle Wright
“Certainly, life can be great at its peaks, but it also has its challenges and valleys along the way, no matter who you are or what you do. No one is excluded. It really is about the support we all need and seeking to talk about the low can be difficult and vulnerable, but it can also be liberating when you realize that we can all be affected in some way. Anything that leads us into a conversation about mental health is a must in our world. I totally support it. and see the beauty of this process. We will all be better for ourselves and humanity by asking for help when needed. I think TRTN-L hits the nail on the head by including mental health services for anyone who needs them and that is a great thing to see! ” – Tim RushlowFormerly of Little Texas, currently in The Frontmen
