Hyderabad: Mental health festival UDAAN to be held on Nov 27

hyderabad: UDAAN City Mental Health Festival will be held at the Nampally Fairgrounds on November 27 from 3:00 p.m.

The festival hopes to address and deal with taboos related to mental health and how to overcome such struggles with the help of art, media and dialogue.

The festival will host nine events, each focusing on a different aspect of mental health.

The first event titled Circle of Relatability will focus on ensuring that people experience a collective unity.

The second event titled Whose Cues will discuss how people experience emotions differently and will place an emphasis on balancing feelings.

The third event, Glee Praxis, focuses on encouraging people to practice gratitude. The fourth event will focus on children’s mental health and encourage them to do origami.

‘Inside Eight’ will help you understand your emotions from the inside out and guide you to happiness in eight simple steps.

A theatrical experiment in self love and expression ‘Drag Lab’ will also be part of the festival.

Arts and dance with Udaan’s ‘Movement is Universal’ and ‘Art Station’ will help people to express themselves and connect with themselves.

‘Story-Time’ will transport people to another universe with compelling narratives about mental health.

Registration for the UDAAN can be made online at a cost of 100 rupees.
