Immune system weakened due to discontinuation of this vaccine! Monkey pox cases increased

Due to the discontinuation of the chicken pox vaccine, the immune system weakened and people have come under the grip of monkey pox disease rapidly. Researchers of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital have made this claim in an article published in the Institute of Clinical Microbiology and Immunology, the current edition of the Indian Journal of Medical Microbiology. Dr. Chand Watal, president of the Institute of Clinical Microbiology and Immunology Ganga Ram Hospital, said that due to the discontinuation of the smallpox vaccine, the human immune system has weakened rapidly. Because of this people are easily coming in the grip of monkey pox virus.

The vaccine was discontinued 40 years ago:

Dr. Chand Watal says that the smallpox vaccine was discontinued 30 to 40 years ago. Currently the cases in which the virus is being confirmed. Many of them are 31 years old. Some are under 40. The smallpox vaccine builds protection by strengthening the immune system. In the case of monkeypox, men having sex with men have been held responsible for direct skin-to-skin contact. So it’s not really an STD (sexually transmitted disease).

Rethinking on Vaccines:

Researchers have suggested rethinking the vaccine. Dr. Watal told that the smallpox vaccine provides up to 85 percent protection. Its vaccination needs to be reconsidered. A road map should be prepared especially for people below the age of 45. It is wrong to compare monkey pox and covid. The nature of both the viruses is different.
