Indore: district health authorities are set to become the first in Madhya Pradesh to start immunization through the U-WIN portal, an electronic registry of the Universal Immunization program, since they had launched two vaccination sites.
The authorities tried to start vaccination through a portal in the health centers of the MOG lines and Hukumchand Polyclinic on Friday while making them live in the portal, that is, generating a session for routine immunization.
The portal will function as an electronic record of vaccination records for children and pregnant mothers. The portal will be linked to government delivery rooms, as well as private hospitals that will help update the information on the portal.
The district’s immunization officer, Dr. Tarun Gupta, said, “Door-to-door surveys to update immunization records of children up to five years of age and pregnant women are taking place in the district.”
