Meet the granddaughter and grandmother who regularly share clothes and go to the gym together, even though the age difference between them is 43 years.

Lesley Maxwell, 64, is a personal trainer from Melbourne, Australia, who regularly makes headlines for her trim physique.

However, some think she is lying about her age, as she doesn’t look much older than her 21-year-old granddaughter, Tia Christofi.

The two are serious gym fans and work out together regularly. They also like to share photos of their toned bodies side by side on Instagram, leaving social media users completely confused about their ages.

Tia, who often shares clothes with her grandmother, hopes to look as good as she does now in the future.

Tia said: ‘My grandmother is young at heart and we both share a passion for health and fitness.

‘Most grandmothers bring cakes when they come to visit, but mine brings organic eggs, organic berries and makes buckwheat pancakes. I aspire to look as good as her when I’m her age.

“She looks amazing and I will definitely live a healthy lifestyle when I’m her age.” We try to do a session every week together, mostly at my home gym.

“Most of the time we do weight training together, I prefer to train legs and glutes, and she likes to train her upper body.”

Lesley, who has 117,000 followers on Instagram She loves nothing more than working out with her granddaughter and attributes her impressive physique to the couple’s frequent gym sessions.

“I’m so proud of Tia and I love that we have similar interests,” Lesley said.

Why we need to focus on nutrition, not hunger

“We often share clothes and even bikinis, which is a plus.

“I work out for about an hour, five times a week. I enjoy going to the gym as much as someone else enjoys going out for a drink.

“I think Tia is stunning in her own right and I am lucky to have such a lovely granddaughter.”

The duo also model together and recently participated in a photo shoot for the Australian store MESHKI.

As Australians head into their summer, we are approaching the depths of winter. It’s getting harder and harder to exercise on dark, cold nights, but Lesley has some tips to help.

She says it’s about making small changes to her lifestyle.

“I go against the grain, I don’t believe in fad diets or fasting,” he explained.

“I eat six times a day and my meals are made up of protein and fat.

‘Of course, I understand that in cooler weather it’s easier to curl up on the sofa and maybe be tempted by high-calorie foods that have no nutritional value, however we can gain weight.

‘Always start small and work your way up.

“If you tell yourself to get up and exercise for just a few minutes, you’ll end up doing it longer.

‘You have to get past the initial phase and it becomes a habit.

‘I don’t always break a sweat, but I’m consistent and I have respect for my body.

‘If you have a racehorse, you want to show it off and not let it slack off.

“People always admire a healthy and strong body, it makes you feel sexy.”
