With more complaints and deaths from food poisoning, the Kerala government issued an order banning the production of mayonnaise from raw eggs.
The Department of Food Safety, in recent days, has been conducting massive raids on diners across the state and has been cracking down on those who violated basic guidelines.

Another new guideline that has also come out is that from now on all food packages at points of sale have to affix a sticker with the date of preparation and the time of delivery and the time before it should be consumed.
The state’s Health Minister, Veena George, had assured that strict guidelines would be issued in the wake of the complaints.
