Due to changing lifestyles, people’s lives are now dependent on fast trading businesses. Whether it is ordering salt and vegetables for cooking or ordering a cleaning kit to clean the house, many companies are now present in the market and deliver the goods in just 10 minutes. Taking advantage of people’s busy lives, these companies deliver food and non-food products in the same package. Now, fast commerce companies will no longer be able to do this. The FSSAI has issued a health advisory in this regard.
That’s the whole thing
It is worth noting that most people order everyday products from fast food sites. It has been found that if someone orders vegetables and mosquito spray, fast trading companies deliver both things to you in the same packet or bag, but now fast trading companies or e-commerce companies will no longer be able to do it. .
FSSAI has issued this guideline
According to reports, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India i.e. FSSAI under the Ministry of Health has issued guidelines. He said online delivery platforms would deliver food and non-food items packaged in separate packages. This should not harm people’s health and the food should not be contaminated either.
FSSAI has given this order
In the advisory, FSSAI also ordered that the expiry date of food items delivered by food business operators (FBOs) should be at least 45 days before delivery. Additionally, they will also have to provide training to all FBO delivery partners, so that they can deliver food products to consumers safely.
Instructions issued regarding details also
FSSAI also said in its advisory that e-commerce platforms will write the same information about any food on their website or app as is written on the label of that food. Apart from the claims made on the label, e-commerce platforms will not be able to make any separate claims on their website or app.
