AI will help the medical sector
AIIMS Director Dr M Srinivas said that according to the growing technology, AIIMS is also progressing in the medical field. In this context, artificial intelligence, i.e. AI, is also used in the medical sector. At the same time, many tasks are performed with the help of AI.
Increased safety and security
Additional Director of AIIMS Dr Karan Singh said that 200 facial recognition cameras have also been installed in AIIMS to increase safety and security. Let us tell you that around 2800 cameras are installed across AIIMS, but 200 cameras with facial recognition will be monitored for two months. It will then be considered to increase the number of these cameras. If a suspicious person comes under the radar of these cameras, they will be easily identified.
The number of beds will increase in intensive care, including in the operating room
The AIIMS director said the number of operation theaters at Delhi AIIMS has increased by 50 per cent, while the number of ICU beds has been increased by 40 per cent. Additionally, the number of inpatient beds increased by 34%, radiology services by 20%, and laboratory services by 15%. Waiting lounges like airports will be built in 2025
According to reports, waiting areas have currently been created at Delhi AIIMS. In these, airport facilities like lounge, play area and library etc. will be added for children. The AIIMS director said it is the country’s first 100% paperless medical institute. This is a digital transformation, which is very important at the moment.
Work is underway on the referencing system
It is noted that patients come to AIIMS Delhi from all over the country, but it is also true that it takes a long time to get an appointment at AIIMS. At the same time, there are also long queues for testing. AIIMS Delhi is strategizing for this. In this context, a referencing system is being created. In such a situation, patients coming from Bihar will first be referred to Patna AIIMS. If proper treatment is not provided there, it will be sent to Delhi. This will not put a heavy burden on a single hospital and it will be easier for the patient to get the appropriate treatment. Software has been prepared for this system and work continues continuously.
Around 50,00,000 patients come to AIIMS every year
Let us tell you that every year around 50 lakh patients come to AIIMS. AIIMS currently has 3,600 beds. In the year 2024 alone, around three lakh admissions took place at AIIMS Delhi.
