JKCPJ holds Mental Health Awareness workshop at GHSS Zainakote

Srinagar, September 08: After organizing a series of workshops on raising awareness of mental health and wellness at kawoosaNarbal Government High School, Batmallo Srinagar Government High School for Girls and Nussu Anantnag Government High School, the JK Center Foundation for Peace and Justice (JKCPJ) successfully conducted another mental health workshop at the Government Senior High School, Zainakote, Srinagar.
JKCPJ mental health expert Syed Manaal Andrabi addressed school children and discussed the importance of mental wellness and the need to speak openly about it. She talked about various topics such as exam pressure and drug abuse which is increasing among young people and needs medical care and counseling. The students and teachers were vocal about her concerns and challenges with our mental health expert and were delighted with this initiative. The administration thanked the JKCPJ team for enlightening the students and assured the Director of collaboration for future efforts.
It is worth mentioning that the JK Center of Peace and Justice Foundation is a multidisciplinary research foundation that advocates for the resolution of different global challenges under which the center started the initiative to raise awareness of mental health in different schools in Jammu and Cashmere.
