Journalists and experts spoke about the pressures and associated mental health issues that come with high-pressure work.
Facebook, in partnership with Fortis Healthcare, hosted a mental health training session for journalists on Saturday that focused on ways to manage mental health and help colleagues and friends who may be experiencing mental stress.
The session opened with a speech by Ramya Venugopal from the Meta media association and development of strategic partners Trushar Barot.
“The mental health issues of journalists need to be discussed and addressed and the media needs to pay attention to the mental stress that the media face on different levels and in strange situations like the times of COVID. The main session, which lasted two hours, was led by psychiatrist and TEDx speaker Samir Parikh.
