Kartik Aaryan, for the first time in his career, has cast a gray character in the upcoming thriller called Freddy. Kartik plays a dentist who turns into a psychotic serial killer at night. The character’s intensity got to him and he reveals that he couldn’t sleep well for a couple of nights.
Going into the details of preparing the role, he said, “I was literally inhabiting the world of Freddy while filming the movie. It was important for me to stay in that headspace and go on set and perform. I have restless nights because of Freddy but it was important to focus on the big picture and I tried to reduce my regular activities while filming Freddy so I can focus on the movie and the character.”
And he added that it was his family who helped him get out of this mentally exhausting period. “I posted the recap, connected with my friends and family who keep me grounded and that helped bring me back to reality and normalcy again.” he said.
The film is produced by Balaji Telefilms Ltd, directed by Shashanka Ghosh and will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on December 2, 2022. Apart from this, Kartik will soon be seen on Satyaprem Ki Katha.
