Kim has always had curvy curves, but she attributes her best body to bodybuilder Melissa Alcantara. “I’ve been training really hard with a bodybuilder for a year. September is our one year anniversary,” Kim revealed to E! News in 2018, via Persons. Kim lifts “heavy weights,” with his trainer (and SKIMS model!) telling her women’s health that 85% of his training is with weights and only 15% is cardio.
If you want a body like Kim’s, you have to work for it, every day. “I work out for about an hour and a half every day,” Kim told E! News. Kim told him recently fashion who sleeps only five hours, waking up at 5:30 am to go to the gym.
Kim does her workouts no matter what. “Just like anyone else, there are days when Kim doesn’t really feel it, but he will,” Alcantara said. “My trainer Mel always says that before and after training, you should eat simple carbohydrates, like sweet potatoes, and small amounts of fat and protein, like chicken. You should also eat vegetables with your meals, as you need them to help you effectively . break down and absorb your proteins, fats and carbohydrates,” he wrote on his app in 2018, according to harper’s bazaar.
LISS workouts are also part of Kim’s routine. “Two days of the week we will do steady-state cardio,” Alcantara explained to WH“So just walk at a steady pace on the treadmill for about 20 minutes. Nothing that makes your heart rate too high.”
Kim eats clean, avoiding anything processed. “I want him to eat real food that is cooked every day,” Alcantara said. Persons. “Most likely if it comes out of a box, it won’t be good for you.”
“When I work with Kim, we like to set goals that we can feel good about achieving,” Alcantara explained to WH. “Once we have a goal set, we write it down. I’ve found that helps keep you accountable. And it feels amazing when you finally reach your goal!”
