The Lifestyle Enhancement program is just one way Health and Wellness Promotion support the wellness of staff and faculty!
Lifestyle Enhancement Classes are intended to support State of Illinois staff and faculty, their spouses and partners, Illinois State University retirees, and alumni. Most programs are conveniently held during the business day to provide greater access to opportunities that promote the personal well-being of faculty and staff.
For the Fall 2022 session (Aug. 22-Dec. 22 with no classes during Thanksgiving week, Nov. 21-25), belly and back balance, yoga, tai chi, and table tennis will be offered. table. There is a fee associated with participation in these classes. Fees will be processed online through the Promotion of Health and Wellness uStore or through pay deduction. Cash and personal checks are no longer accepted.
Balanced stomachs and backs
Aimed at caring for a healthy spine, this class focuses on maintaining flexibility and strengthening the core.
Instructor: Michelle Klunke BA is a certified instructor and has been teaching wellness in the state of Illinois since 2003.

Yoga
Live the traditional practice of hatha yoga. This class is open to people of all levels of practice.
Instructor: Dianne Renn, certified instructor
- Monday and Wednesday | noon–1 pm | Bone Student Center, 4th West Lounge
Tai Chi
Designed to improve strength, neuromuscular strength control and balance. T’ai Chi is often referred to as moving meditation.
Instructor: Lilly Meiner, certified instructor
- Wednesday | 17:15 – 18:15 | Bone Student Center, 4th West Lounge
Table tennis
