Love Is Blind’s Danielle Reveals How She Maintains Her 70-Lb. Weight Loss

Health first! Danielle Ruhl has lost an impressive 70 pounds – and is proud of her “drastic” weight loss journey.

“I have tried almost every diet in the book and [Nutrisystem was the] first [one] which I was actually able to maintain for a year, which allowed me to lose 70 pounds,” the Love is blind season 2 alum, 29, said exclusively us weekly on Thursday, July 21, while promoting his association with the diet show. “It was [also] a fairly easy transition out of [the meal plan] just because [I had learned] portion controlwhat you can and cannot eat [and] when you should be eating. And so, while I was at it for a year… [became] a normal practice for me [to start] craving healthier foods.

The Illinois native, who married Nick Thompson during the season 2 finale of the netflix dating show — revealed that she has already reached his “target weight”, but she is still committed to her wellness journey.

“We follow a healthy lifestyle together. That’s good because we both eat pretty healthy,” she gushed about her husband of 37 years. “He’s more of a yoga guy [and] I’m more of a HIIT cardio girl, so we don’t exercise together. I have encouraged it [to workout] a couple of times and he encourages me to do it, but man, I’m not flexible. I was like, ‘I’m so sorry. You don’t want to see me do yoga. I’ll try to.'”

In addition to high interval training (HIIT) and cardiovascular exercises, Ruhl has also focused on eating healthy meals.

“ME eat three times a day. I like to keep it pretty healthy, but I really enjoy cooking. It’s like one of my passions,” she said. U.S Thursday. “So I stick to a lot of fish and vegetables, that’s like [some of] my favorite foods [now].”

Earlier this year, the associate director of marketing spoke about her weight loss journey after gained almost 20 pounds while going out on the capsules in Love is blind.

“I did a weight loss program (there are many now) that shipped meals because it helped with portion control and I needed a very strict regimen to stick to. It made me realize what I should and shouldn’t eat, made me feel less hungry/in general, changed my habits so I could crave healthier foods.” she wrote via Instagram in March. “I got off the meal plan and [started] meal prep (using my workout buddy to count calories/macros/generally making sure I was getting the right nutrients) now I’m used to knowing what to eat! (While I pleasure myself while I feel like it)”.

The Netflix personality’s wellness process began in high school, telling U.S that she is tried different diets through the years while trying to keep fit.

“I mean [my weight] it fluctuates all the time, whether it’s up or down, whether it’s the time of year, whether it’s how I feel [because] like, you know, sometimes I use food as a crutch and I’ve learned not to do that as much,” Ruhl said. U.S. “And if I do, it’s healthier food and sometimes I find it hard to find time to eat. And so I I actually just started remaking Nutrisystem so I can make sure I don’t have an excuse to make an unhealthy choice or skip meals because I’ve done both [in the past].”
