Healthy Leafy Vegetables: The fun of eating pakodas in the monsoon season is something else. Sometimes onion pakoras and sometimes potatoes. If you want to get health benefits along with pakodas, then here we are telling you about some such green leaves vegetables, which are easily available. If you want, you can also grow them in pots at home. These leaves are very healthy in the monsoon season and protect against many seasonal diseases.

  • The batter prepared for making pakodas is usually a bit loose. But while making pakodas with leaves, you do not have to do this, but keep the batter a little tight.
  • Now prepare this batter and keep it on the side and wash and clean the leaves from which you want to make pakodas.
  • Keep the wok for heating on low flame and then add oil as per the requirement. Use whatever oil you prefer to cook in. However, we would suggest you to use mustard oil for health.
  • Now take a leaf and first wipe it thoroughly with a tissue or cloth so that the water accumulated on it is removed and then spread this batter completely on the leaf.
  • Now hold the battered leaf from one side and start rolling it. Carefully lift the prepared roll and leave it to fry in hot oil.
  • Cook this roll on low flame only so that the leaves do not get burnt and the batter gets cooked inside. Keep stirring the roll from time to time and keep turning it so that it gets cooked well.
  • Take out the cooked roll and cut it into the size of pakodas and serve it with mint chutney. Enjoy with sauce if you want.
