Billionaire Mark Cuban said Generation Z would become the “greatest generation” because they consider all factors, including the impact on their mental health, when making decisions.

“I think it’s beautiful and it’s very similar to when I was starting out and technology was happening or the internet was happening,” the Dallas Mavericks owner said. Podcast “Re: Thinking with Adam Grant”.

“The boomers will go down in history as the most disappointing generation in history, from sex, drugs and rock and roll to what we have today.”

The billionaire also said that “zoomers” – those born between 1995 and 2010 – like their children value maintaining “mental health balance”.

He added: “I think organizations are going to have to understand that more and more as we go forward. Not only because of the way you treat your employees, but also because of what your customers expect.”

Cuban previously told Justin Kan “The search” podcast that zoomers valued digital goods more than any other generation.

Gen Z has also embraced a new way of working, called “quietly quitting,” or putting the minimum amount of effort into a job to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Gen Xers might have called it “slacking off” or “lounging,” while millennials might have called it “having limits.”
