Meghan Markle It has always been known to have a healthy life style, stock up on supplements, and make time for yoga and pilates. However, the Duchess of Sussex might need to make changes to her exercise routine now that he turned 41. Instead of sticking to relaxing yoga and Pilates, the Duchess needs to change her routine according to a health expert.
“On a daily basis, a 40-year-old should aim for moderate aerobic activity for 30 minutes a day,” personal trainer Chris Ruxton, who works with Deep Heat, told Hello Magazine.
“Make sure you include muscle-strengthening exercises for all your major muscle groups three days a week.”
Meghan may also find that she becomes more prone to aches and pains from exercise now that she’s turned 41.
“Musculoskeletal pain can become quite common in your 40s,” Chris cautioned.
The musculoskeletal system includes bones, cartilage, ligaments, tendons, and connective tissues, which can affect the entire body.
To limit pain, Chris advised that Meghan should include cardio, weight lifting, core and muscle strengthening, resistance and stretching sessions in her routine, to improve cardiovascular and metabolic fitness and reduce the risk of bone and muscle loss.
Chris also noted that Meghan needs to be especially careful to protect her knees.
“This is a key area for injuries in those over 40 years of age,” he said.
