“You may start to notice that maintaining your normal, healthy body weight becomes much more difficult; days when you feel fatigued may mean you’re less motivated to exercise regularly,” he said.
“So if menopausal weight gain has been getting you down and you feel inspired to take action to shed those extra pounds, then consider your weight loss strategy of choice.”
He advised against long gaps between meals, skipping meals, drastically reducing calories or following diet strategies that eliminate carbohydrates altogether, because “they are shortsighted and counterproductive.”
