Mental Health top of mind for Cariboo Hockey

The weekend is part of the BCEHL’s league-wide initiative, maintaining its support of Buddy Check for Jesse to help provide mental health education and awareness. The goal of Buddy Check for Jesse is to empower and encourage youth and young adults to support each other as we all work to de-stigmatize mental health.

Cariboo look to build on their performance from last weekend, completing a weekend sweep of the South Island Royals. Head coach Tyler Brough thinks his team needs to have more confidence in themselves, but believes with eight games remaining they are starting to move toward the end of the regular season.

Currently, they are fifth in the league with a record of 13-11-1-3.

This weekend, they take on the second-best team in the league, the Canadians (20-8-1-1).

The U17 team will also play at home while the U15s are on tour in Victoria.
