Losing weight can be difficult, but Dr Michael Mosley has helped thousands achieve their weight goals through his own diet techniques, like the Fast 800 diet. There’s one tip he swears by for those who want to change their weight fast.
The TV doctor revealed that there is one food group that people should be eating more of to “promote rapid weight loss,” and that’s protein.
It practices what it preaches, as the Fast 800 Diet involves eating 800 calories a day in the form of foods consumed within a low-carb Mediterranean diet to feel full.
Dr. Mosley has explained that foods should be high in protein, as well as high in fiber and healthy fats.
If you follow this weight loss technique, Dr. Michael Mosley recommends that adults consume at least 60 g of protein per day.

“The reason for protein is that you need it for your muscle,” said Dr. Mosley, revealing that Fast 800 Diet also includes protein shakes or protein bars to help you increase your intake of macronutrients.
“We have meal replacement shakes that are very high in protein, and we’re also aiming to make protein boosters, to help people who might otherwise struggle,” he said.
While protein can help slimmers lose weight, it’s also an important macronutrient for building muscle.
The expert added: “The reason for protein is that you need it for your muscle.
“If you go on a safe and effective diet to lose weight quickly, within two to three years you will keep most of that weight off.”
