Fast weightloss For a long time, diets have been clouded with controversy and have been called unhealthy, as have crash diets to change as much body weight as possible in a short space of time. But Dr Michael Mosley revealed that numerous studies have shown otherwise, explaining that if people do it “safely and properly,” then they are “much more likely to be successful” than if they follow slower diets.
He referenced research conducted by a weight loss specialist teacher susan jebb from the University of Oxford, who discovered that rapid weight loss is the best option.
He said during an interview with House of Wellness: “I was absolutely stunned when I came across this research.
“Professor Susan Jebb told me that they know that the amount of weight you lose in the first four weeks [of a diet] predicts weight loss in the next six months, one year, two years and five years, but rapid weight loss is motivating.”
She recalled that she set out to do a big essay that would prove that rapid weight loss is a “terrible idea,” but ended up proving the exact opposite.

In his Fast 800 diet, the TV doctor explained that the foods are high in protein, as well as high in fiber and healthy fats.
Despite eating 800 calories a day, they are calories well spent in the form of foods that are consumed within a low-carbohydrate Mediterranean diet to feel full.
If you follow this weight loss technique, Dr. Mosley recommends that adults consume at least 60 g of protein per day.
If a person wants to burn fat quickly, it suggests that they increase their protein intake to a higher amount.

It also states that those who eat less than the recommended amount of protein could be harming their metabolic rate.
The diet guru said, “Your body will cannibalize your muscles and your metabolic rate will drop.
“It’s really important to have a decent amount of protein, which is 50-70g per day.
“You can get protein mainly from meat or fish, and you can also get it from legumes, but you have to eat a lot more.”
According to Healthline, a high-protein diet helps stimulate metabolism and leads to an automatic reduction in calorie intake and cravings.
This is because high-protein foods help suppress appetite, keeping slimmers full for longer.
“The reason for protein is that you need it for your muscle,” said Dr. Mosley, revealing that Fast 800 also includes protein shakes or protein bars to help people increase their intake of macronutrients.
“We have meal replacement shakes that are very high in protein and we’re also aiming to produce protein boosters, to help people who might otherwise struggle,” he added.
