Michael Mosley: The one food group you should be eating for ‘rapid weight loss’

Dr Michael Mosley is the man behind the Fast 800, the 5:2, the lifestyle and now the Fast 800 Keto subsistence allowance. The weight loss expert is always interested in the latest scientific research when it comes to diet and talked about the benefits of a high protein diet and how it can help you lose excess weight.

Dr Michael reiterated the comments of Professors David Raubenheimer and Steve Simpson of the University of Sydney about having more than one appetite for food.

He said: “We have five: one for protein, fat, carbohydrates, calcium and salt.

“Eat too little protein, they say, and you’ll be plagued by cravings and likely to indulge in the wrong foods.

“Whereas with a high-protein diet, your appetite can be satisfied with far fewer calories.”

“This is higher than the official recommendations, but I believe in the power of this emerging science,” he commented.
