Zikitza Healthcare Private Limited which runs 108 state-run ambulance services in collaboration with the health department, released the app on Monday.

Company officials released the operational data and said that they have served 8.37 lakh patients since November 2017, including 39,000 Covid-19 patients across the state.

Officials credited their ambulance staff for their dedicated service and said they were real Covid-19 warriors as they served patients even after realizing the risks involved.

Recalling an incident where ambulance staff went out of their way to help patients, Milton Singh, project head of Zikitza Healthcare in Jharkhand, said that during the first wave, two of his staff in Pakur were in charge of shifting inmates from Pakur. After PMCH.

After they reached the cremation ground, no one was available except the patient’s son, so the two men made sure that they also participated in the rituals with the patient’s son and helped him in the cremation.

Singh said each was rewarded with cash prizes by the company and appreciated for their efforts.
