A review of 67 observational studies and 6 clinical trials published in the BMJ found a link between high sugar intake and depression, reports Mirror. Scientists have concluded that every adult should keep the limit of ‘free sugar’ no more than 6 teaspoons. If you consume more sugar than this, then you can become a victim of many diseases simultaneously.
Many serious diseases can occur
Associate professor and author Liangren Liu of West China Hospital said that this review shows that sugar, in which the presence of fructose is found. By consuming it in excess, you can get many serious diseases in your grip. He said that everyone should consume less than 25 grams of sugar daily. There is a need for large-scale public health education and policies around the world to increase public (especially children and adolescents) awareness of sugar consumption.
