A young Australian shared how he lost 34kg in 10 months and completely changed his lifestyle without going to the gym.

In July 2020, Myke Jay recalls tipping the scales at 124kg, but stopped weighing himself because he “hated how it looked”.

Four months later, in November, the 27-year-old knew something needed to change and set a goal for himself.

“Every morning, seven days a week, I did a 30-minute HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workout, non-negotiable,” Myke of Brisbanesaid in a TikTok video.

‘Even if I felt bad, I had to do it.’

Myke explained how he stopped ‘demonizing food’ as ‘good’ or ‘bad’ and instead accepted that ‘everything is food’.

“You just decide what you put in your body and how much you put in there,” he said.

“What a lot of people don’t talk about is that the self-control part is why people lose weight, because instead of having two familiar blocks of chocolate, you would have a king-size bar.

Exercises included knee touches, jumping jacks, jump squats, resistance band bicep curls, skull crusher, side lunges, dumbbell lunges and sit-ups

The inspirational TikTokker said during the weight loss journey that he was still ‘living life’ and always ‘had a balance’.
