- According to India Today, a team of animal husbandry officials has ruled out the possibility of a zoonotic virus.
- Samples of the infected patients have been sent to the Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre (GBRC) in Gandhinagar and the National Institute of Virology in Pune to identify the exact cause of the fever and subsequent deaths.
“One hundred isolation beds and 30 ventilators and BiPAP machines are kept available at the Adani GK General Hospital to deal with any emergency situation. We have sent one cardiologist and two senior doctors along with 50 medical teams led by MBBS doctors to this region for early diagnosis and treatment,” he said.
