- Avoid puris and fried items, go for roasted makhana as they are loaded with antioxidants.
- Avoid whole milk, as it can cause lethargy.
- Pregnant women with conditions such as diabetes, anemia, and high blood pressure should avoid fasting.
Pregnant women should be very careful if they decide to adopt the Navratri fast as not only the mother but also the fetus require nutrients through a healthy diet.
