One thing to do before getting out of the car to improve your health – and it only takes 60 seconds

“Starting a health routine is one thing, but maintaining it throughout life is actually the hardest thing for people,” Anna Verhees, who has been a fitness instructor with Genesis Health + Fitness for 25 years, he tells 9Honey.

“We all know what we should be doing, but sometimes things happen, life gets in the way and our motivation falters.

“I have taught over 27,000 classes. I have seen all the obstacles that get in people’s way, from illness to family commitments, money problems, mental health issues and more.

“I’ve also seen some very inspiring things: people in their 80s and 90s who still go to the gym every week and people who have continued to exercise during their cancer treatment.

“We all know how important our health is and that ultimately taking care of ourselves means we can live a longer and more enjoyable life! Make your health a priority, but not a burden, and do your best to keep it and don’t let life get in the way.”
