Oregon youth tell their own stories of mental health struggles

Many public health officials agree that we are in the midst of a youth mental health crisis that has only been exacerbated by the pandemic. In response, MediaRites, an Oregon nonprofit, created a new project that gives young people the space to share their own stories of struggles with mental health. It’s called the ‘Ism Youth Archives’ and will have a resource toolbox, podcasts and short films with stories of young people. Dmae Roberts, executive producer of MediaRites, and Jenell Tybaltone of the young people featured in the project, join us to talk about their experiences.
