You see a lot of problems in healthcare today. Fragmentation, I think, is one of the major problems that everyone faces as a citizen of this world. I think everyone should have Access to health care. Of course, it’s a very high price that everyone thinks. You know, if you are rich, you can use it and get the best out of it. And if you’re not good enough, you don’t get those benefits. Also, technology plays a big part in who and how we use healthcare.
So if you’re in a remote village, say, for example, you don’t have the technology to take you there, and you have access to health care. In big cities and metropolitan areas, everyone gets the best healthcare or at least healthcare. Another thing I’ve noticed is that people who have low risk factors, you know, don’t have as many risk factors as you do when you’re younger, in your mid-twenties, middle age. And in the forties, they can take care of their health by eating good food, exercising and doing all the fun things you can in daily life and making sure your risk factors are minimal.
What about people on the verge of having multiple chronic risk factors? That is, I think, the central part of all that Healthcare platform Or all health care institutions should focus.
DOCTI: Thoughts and the journey so far
When I started, I identified myself as a serial entrepreneur because, since I was about 20 years old, I have created multiple businesses, one of which was not IT. And I have been running an IT services company for the last 15 years. And through that, when we came up with the idea to make sure we all have access, which means Docty.
We started in 2018, of course, before Kovid. When we first started, we put together some ideas using our existing IT services company, built a prototype and took it to market. We got some excellent recognition from the market, which let us know that we were on the right track.
Only when Kovid hits us, and then, unfortunately, does it become more convincing that our product or platform is on the right track. And at the same time we created another entity, which is the adopter. And right now, we’re in three places. Is one. Of course, there is the United States, and then there is the Latin American region, which includes South Africa. And in India, we started in October 2021.
Platform and Ecosystem Doct
We have integrated the whole ecosystem into one platform, and we use artificial intelligence, which makes life easier. Where you place your bet, and then through a list of questions from AI, it comes to a conclusion, not a preconceived notion, but a 96% success rate, which we have through our AI platform, where it tells you that this is your Status can be. And this is a list of doctors in your particular area that you can consult and then you move on to the next steps.
Is it all about Docty?
Not at all. So the doctor goes beyond consultation, and when I say we have the whole ecosystem within our platform. So, as a patient, as a citizen of this country, of this world, I want to look at health care from a patient’s perspective.
Now, wherever you go, you don’t have a system that doesn’t give you a patient-centered solution. You have something that is insurance; It could be a hospital; It could just be your tests, your diagnostics. What if all this could happen on a single platform? I am 44 years old, I have two children, I have a husband, all this is on one platform. I say this is the insurance I use. Or if I don’t, that’s fine. I say this is my doctor. This is the hospital where I go. I put it here, or this is where I get my tests done. I put it all on my platform and in a single shot when I put it – the features from which I get my results. I have all my records on one platform.
Now, tomorrow I will change my mind. I have moved from one place to another. I don’t have to go to any hospital or medical center to find out where my record is. I’m going with my record.
The democratization of healthcare
Interactivity is one of the best things we have and what this means is, at the end of the day, the democratization of health. I think every citizen of the world, every patient, every person needs democratization.
I know this sounds like a word that can flutter or ruffle a few feathers. Sure, it will. And I think we’re here to do that, because I’ve put myself and our co-founders in patient shoes to decide what we want. You know, other countries have our parents. What will they need?
How can I monitor their health from the app? And putting it all together, I think, makes it a platform for counting doctrinaire.
Docty kiosk
Right now, with COVID, everything looks very bleak. Unfortunately, we’re all trying to go two steps further, but we’re actually going three or four steps back.
So what can Docty do for the future of health as a company? I talked to Healthcare about democratization. Absolutely. It’s something we can help with. Number two is the kiosk we have and we have planned. We started in India in October, and now we have 100 kiosks that will be set up in different locations that will provide access to all of the ones I was talking to.
And by doing that, you know, people without any way, they can go to the kiosk and, you know, put their symptoms, have a doctor on demand, talk to them, find their system, Find their solution, and take it from there. Is there a way to do that? Yes.
The other way is through government collaboration. We need to work with every government where medicine is one of the best parts of doctors. Also, I don’t think I mentioned that. Our solution is designed that way and, of course, we have data privacy. It is designed in such a way that within four to six weeks, we can set our platform as capable, following every single route of any geographical location.
So I can lift my platform and go to Saudi Arabia. I can go to Europe. Within four to six, I can go to Australia and set it up in a way that complies with all the data laws of that particular region. So I think our future is there. We are on the verge of that step.
And I believe that a Docty, together with different governments, can help us get there. So far, we have self-funded. I think we are ready to go to the next stage where we can get seed funding and go to the next level and take it to very different regions around the world.
Collaboration with the government
So one of the most important things to look for in the future is the health care sector. Where is he going, when the doctor or any healthcare provider is looking to the future? I think we’ve touched the top of the iceberg here. And I think Docty and others are nearing an end if they want to be part of this wearable movement.
And I think, you know, for us, we’ve already implemented one of our wearable, docty watches. It’s not like you have regular watches, like your Apple, your Android, or Samsung, where you have your heartbeat, your steps, and you don’t have time to stand up. It’s not as primary.
It goes beyond that as it is now integrated into our Docty platform. That risk management tracks your chronic condition, but is able to see, as if, instead of lying down, you have to go to the hospital and, you know, put a few wires and you lie down and the doctor or nurse monitors you Doing so, it is not necessary.
Your Docty Watch will keep you on your risk management for chronic illnesses. And I think that’s absolutely something that’s already been implemented. That is. We have already implemented it in Columbia and it is working very successfully.
