Over 100 vultures found dead after bird flu outbreak on N.J. trail, state says

A section of the Sussex Branch Trail in Lafayette was closed this weekend after more than 100 dead black vultures were discovered in the area, the New Jersey State Park Service announced on Saturday.

The US Department of Agriculture confirmed that the birds died from avian influenza, better known as bird flu, the state said.
