Paneer Roll also called Paneer Kathi Roll or Paneer Frankie is a delicious evening snack recipe made with Indian cheese, potatoes and green peas. Add spices and vegetables of your choice to make these mouth-watering cheese rolls at any occasion or party.
Ingredients
- 250 g paneer (grated)
- 8-10 cloves garlic paste
- Bread Slices 8
- Cheesy Spread (Store Purchased)
- 2 potatoes boiled
- 1/2 cup boiled green peas
- 4 green chillies chopped
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp poppy seeds
- 2 green cardamom chopped
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp chaat masala powder
- coriander leaves chopped
- 1 cup water
- Oil for frying
- salt to taste
How to make Paneer roll at Home:
- Heat a pan and add 1 tsp oil.
- Let the oil heat well and then add green chillies, ginger paste, special and green cardamom.
- Fry for 2 minutes and turn off the gas.
- Mash the boiled potatoes in a bowl and add green peas, grated paneer, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, chaat masala powder, fried masala of a saucepan and chopped coriander.
- Mix well and put the mixture aside. Take a piece of bread, cut all the edges, dip them in water and quickly remove from the water.
- Squeeze the excess moisture out of the bread slices.
- Spread 1/2 tsp cheese spread and garlic paste on the bread.
- Now spread the paneer and vegetable mixture on half of the bread and cover the other side as well.
- Try to shape-round by closing it from all sides with the help of water.
- Deep fry in enough oil until well browned and remove on tissue paper.
- Serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce.
Note:-
- If you are not able to make round-sized rolls, fix them using cornflour or maida.
- You can also add grated capsicum and carrots to the same paneer roll.
