In the study, it has been clearly said that people who do not sleep after brushing at night, may increase the risk of heart disease.

According to this study published in the Scientific Reports of Nature Journal, not brushing at night can cause heart disease. In this study, 1675 people aged 20 years and above were included. It has been revealed in the study that people who do not brush at night, the risk of cardiovascular disease ie heart disease is very high. The results of this study suggest that daily brushing before bedtime can reduce the risk of periodontal disease, tooth decay, and problems related to oral hygiene.

People kept in observation for 3 years

If you do not take care of oral hygiene, then it is also possible that you may get heart disease as well as many other diseases. According to the Scientific Report of Nature Journal, the people involved in this study were admitted to the Osaka University Hospital, which is located in Japan, between 2013 and 2016 for surgery, tests and treatment.

How many times should I brush daily?

There were 409 people in group MN, who used to brush twice a day (morning and night). There were 751 people in the group Night, who used to brush only at night. There were 164 people in the Morning group, who used to brush their teeth only after waking up in the morning. There was also a group None, who used to brush neither in the morning nor at night. The ‘American Dental Association’ recommends brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste. Apart from this, flossing at least once a day helps in removing the bacteria and plaque accumulated in the mouth.
